Itinerary
Day 1 – Bukhara – Jeyran Ecocenter – Saline Lakes – Bukhara
📍 Route: Bukhara – Jeyran Ecocenter – Saline Lakes – Bukhara. ⏳ Duration: 2–2.5 hours. Best Time: Morning (summer & winter: 07:00–09:00 / spring & autumn: 08:00–10:00) or Evening (summer & winter: 17:00–19:00 / spring & autumn: 16:00–18:00).
Transfer from Bukhara to the Jeyran Ecocenter (42 km / 40–45 min).
Open-Air Cage Complex: Guided tour of the open-air enclosures. Observe rare animals such as Persian gazelles (Jeyran), Przewalski's horses, Kulans, Bukhara urials, Brandt's hedgehogs, White-tailed eagles & ospreys, Desert monitor lizards.
Desert Walk to the Saline Lakes: Continue deeper into the reserve with a 1,250 m walk through sandy desert terrain. Observe desert flora such as black saxaul and astragalus, as well as Central Asian tortoises, lacertas, and wild ungulates.
Saline Lakes Complex: Visit four unique lakes — Small Saline Lake, Beautiful Lake, Duck Lake, Big Saline Lake. The watering points attract Persian gazelles, kulans, and Przewalski's horses. You may also spot kingfishers, herons, ducks, bald coots, and occasionally badgers, nutrias, and muskrats.
Return to Bukhara. End of the one-day excursion.

What do I need to bring?
